John Legend to Perform First-Ever Concert in Egypt on July 22

EGOT winner singer/songwriter John Legend is slated to perform his first-ever concert in Egypt this summer.

The concert is held at the Playa resort, in the North Coast, on Friday, July 22.

Legend, born John Roger Stephens, is an American singer, songwriter, actor, and producer.

He began his music career working behind the scenes by making uncredited performances on Jay-Z's "Encore", and Alicia Keys' "You Don't Know My Name".

In 2004, the R&B singer released his debut album "Get Lifted", which reached the top ten on the Billboard 200 and was certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.
