John Cena, the iconic American wrestler and actor, has officially announced his retirement from World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) after a storied career.
Cena, 47, revealed that his final competition will take place in 2025 during the "Money in the Bank" event in Toronto, Canada.
Expressing gratitude to his fans who have supported him throughout his over two-decade-long career, Cena has won the World Champion title 16 times.
His announcement was met with chants of appreciation from the crowd, as he acknowledged their support for allowing him to perform for so many years.
Cena joined WWE in 2001 and has since become a household name, not only in wrestling but also in film and television. His notable roles include appearances in "The Marine," "Trainwreck," "The Suicide Squad," "Fast and Furious 9," and "Peacemaker."
Apart from his wrestling and acting careers, Cena holds a world record in the Guinness Book of World Records for the most wishes granted through the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
He fulfilled his 650th wish in July 2022, making him a beacon of hope and inspiration for countless children worldwide.
