Netflix and Blackpink’s Jisoo have sparked buzz with the release of a teaser and premiere date for the K-drama romantic comedy series "Boyfriend on Demand".

The streaming giant revealed fresh details about the series, giving fans a first look at what’s to come.

The series will premiere on March 6, exclusively on Netflix. The teaser introduces Seo Mi-rae, played by Blackpink's Jisoo. Mi-rae is a burnt-out webtoon producer who turns to a virtual dating simulation service in search of romance.

The story follows Mi-rae’s use of a futuristic subscription-based app called “Boyfriend on Demand,” which allows users to experience ideal romantic dates in digital settings. Her journey takes a turn when she becomes involved with her colleague and professional rival, Park Kyeong-nam, whom Seo In-guk portrays.

Netflix described the series in the teaser caption: “Jisoo and Seo In-guk star in BOYFRIEND ON DEMAND. Coming to Netflix March 6! An exhausted webtoon producer escapes reality through a subscription-based virtual dating simulation program, where she gets to experience the dates of her dreams.”

Cameo appearances will feature South Korean actors Seo Kang-jun, Lee Soo-hyuk, Kim Young-dae, and Lee Jae-wook.

Director Kim Jung Sik leads the series, which has 10 episodes. The team filmed it in the Philippines. They originally planned to air it on MBC, but Netflix later acquired the rights.

Jisoo returns to drama after her 2025 appearances in "Newtopia" and "Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy".

Seo In-guk brings experience from his roles in "Reply 1997," "Doom at Your Service," "Café Minamdang," "Death’s Game," and "Twelve." The cast also includes Gong Min Jeung and Kim Ah Young. Check out the teaser below.
