Jason Statham and David Leitch have found their next collaboration in the action-comedy, "Jason Statham Stole My Bike.
Hailing from Black Bear, the feature is set for theatrical release in North America on August 6, 2027.
Plot details have not yet been disclosed for the project that began principal photography last week.
Statham stars in the feature with a role that is described as reminiscent of the one he played as a CIA field agent opposite Melissa McCarthy in 2015’s "Spy".
The project witnesses the second collaboration between Statham and Leitch after working together on 2019's "Hobbs & Shaw".
It also continues the genre icon's relationship with Black Bear, that includes Guy Ritchie’s "Viva La Madness," which has recently wrapped production and also stars Ben Foster, Jason Isaacs, and Camila Mendes.
Leitch, known for directorial credits like "The Fall Guy" and the forthcoming "How to Rob a Bank," helms the pic from a script by Alison Flierl (BoJack Horseman), with the story credited to Flierl and Scott Chernoff.
Producers include Leitch and Kelly McCormick for 87North, Statham for Punch Palace Productions, John Friedberg for Black Bear, and Meredith Berg and Ethan Erwin for Beryllium Entertainment. Fifth Season and Tango are executive producing..
Statham has such forthcoming films as Lionsgate’s crime thriller "Mutiny," heading to theaters in August, and Amazon MGM Studios’ "The Beekeeper 2," which is dated for early 2027.
The actor’s films have surpassed a combined $8 billion at the global box office and span such franchises as "The Meg" and "Fast & Furious".
