Egyptian actress Jamila Awad and Film editor Ahmed Hafez tied the knot at the iconic monument Citadel of Saladin on Thursday.
The starry guests who were present included Anoushka, Yousra, Amr Diab, Mohamed Hamaki, Moustafa Amar, Mona Zaki, Menna Shalaby, Riham Abdel Ghafour, Naglaa Badr, Amina Khalil, Hala Shiha, Asser Yassin, Amr Youssef and his wife Kinda Alloush, Dorra Zarrouk, Bassma Boussil, Ahmed Saad, and more.
Awad and Hafez signed aqd qiran Monday evening in a low-key ceremony limited to their families and relatives.
Aqd qiran is an Islamic marriage contract that is considered an integral part of an Islamic marriage and outlines the rights and responsibilities of the groom and bride or other parties involved in marriage proceedings under Shariah.
The intimate ceremony was confined to 15 guests.
The actress took to Instagram on Saturday to share the first photos from the wedding reception.
In a lengthy post, she send a message of love and gratitude to all those who shared her special day.
"Words can hardly express the overwhelming joy and love I felt on our wedding day. Yesterday my dream came true being surrounded by most loved gang who made all the difference. As if a fairytale from my childhood, I found myself on the historic Citadel overlooking this beautiful city, my soulmate Ahmed by my side and surrounded by our beloved family and friends, many of which being the talented and acclaimed icons of the region", she said.
Awad continued: "Our night encapsulated something I could only dream of and yet we witnessed a night filled with magic that one can only wish for,".
"Thank you to everyone who made this day possible and to all who graced us in the happily ever after of this fairy tale wedding, which for me and Ahmed is just the beginning of our journey together," she added.

The couple who have a 9-year age gap met behind the scenes of "Hepta: El Mohadra El Akhyra" in 2016.
A strong friendship developed between them, which quickly turned into a romantic relationship. They dated for about eight years until they decided to get engaged.
At the time, the duo collaborated on the 2017 TV series “La tutafiy alshams” and the 2018 film “Al Def”.
