Jamila Awad and Ahmed Hafez Ties Knot in Cozy Wedding Ceremony

Egyptian actress Jamila Awad and Film editor Ahmed Hafez tied the knot at the iconic monument Citadel of Saladin on Thursday.

The starry guests who were present included Anoushka, Yousra, Amr Diab, Mohamed Hamaki, Moustafa Amar, Mona Zaki, Menna Shalaby, Riham Abdel Ghafour, Naglaa Badr, Amina Khalil, Hala Shiha, Asser Yassin, Amr Youssef and his wife Kinda Alloush, Dorra Zarrouk, Bassma Boussil, Ahmed Saad, and more.

Awad and Hafez signed aqd qiran Monday evening in a low-key ceremony limited to their families and relatives.

Aqd qiran is an Islamic marriage contract that is considered an integral part of an Islamic marriage and outlines the rights and responsibilities of the groom and bride or other parties involved in marriage proceedings under Shariah.

The intimate ceremony was confined to 15 guests.

The couple who have a 9-year age gap met behind the scenes of "Hepta: El Mohadra El Akhyra" in 2016.

A strong friendship developed between them, which quickly turned into a romantic relationship. They dated for about eight years until they decided to get engaged.

At the time, the duo collaborated on the 2017 TV series “La tutafiy alshams” and the 2018 film “Al Def”.
