If you’re feeling nostalgic for a classic James Bond film following Sean Connery’s death in late October, or perhaps waiting for the next film in the franchise, "No Time to Die", which got pushed back to April 2, 2021.
Either way, you can now stream a selection of the James Bond collection completely for free in the U.S following an agreement between YouTube and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM).
This move comes to entertain James Bond fans following the repeated postponement of the release of the twenty-fifth movie in the James Bond franchise, which has been twice pushed back from April and November 2020 as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.
The “No Time to Die” movie is the fifth and maybe final movie featuring Daniel Craig as the MI6 agent James Bond. It is directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga and produced by “Eon Productions”.
The movie stars Lea Seydoux, Christoph Waltz, and Jeffrey Wright who are reprising their roles from the previous movies, Rami Malek, Ana de Armas, and David Dencik who are introduced as new characters.
“No Time to Die” is the first Bond movie to be distributed worldwide by “Universal Pictures” and not “Sony Pictures” due to the expiration of the contract with “Sony Pictures” after the release of “Spectre” in 2015.
The first 19 James Bond movies are available through YouTube’s “Free to Watch” section. While the films will not require any payment, they do feature video advertisements.
That includes the films starring the late Sean Connery, such as Dr. No and Goldfinger, through to Pierce Brosnan’s brief Bond revival with titles like Goldeneye. The collection does not include films from Daniel Craig’s tenure as 007.
It’s also not been confirmed how long the catalog will remain in YouTube’s “Free to Watch” section.
