Odyssey Gallery in Zamalek is unveiling a new solo exhibition by Polish artist Izabela Uchman, titled “Wandering Through the Lands of Wonders,” opening on Wednesday, October 15, at 7 p.m. The exhibition will remain on view until November 1, 2025.
The show reflects Uchman’s long artistic journey through the Middle East — a voyage that began in 1999 when she first arrived in Cairo as a young traveler, eager to immerse herself in the region’s language, culture, and daily life. Deeply moved by Egypt’s vibrancy and history, she ultimately chose to make it her home.
Through a collection of deeply expressive works, Uchman captures her personal reflections, emotions, and encounters from more than two decades of exploration. Each piece invites viewers into her evolving perspective on identity, belonging, and wonder.
Odyssey Gallery described the exhibition as “a reflection on the artist’s voyage with its lights and shadows,” offering an intimate portrayal of Uchman’s connection with the world around her.
Still inspired by her surroundings, Uchman continues to wander — and to wonder — through her art.
