The Mayor of Italy’s famous archaeological town, Cortona, received this morning renowned Egyptologist Dr. Zahi Hawass to talk about the latest archaeological discoveries in Egypt, including, Luxor’s Lost Golden City.
During the meeting, the Italian official discussed with Hawass the means of cooperation between the Egyptian Museum, and Cortona’s Museum.
Therefore, the Italian town is preparing a massive media campaign dedicated to Hawass’ visit, and his lecture about Luxor’s Lost Golden City.
Luxor’s Golden City dates back to King Amenhotep III’s reign, and its presence continued during King Tutankhamun’s reign 3000 years ago.
It is worthy to mention that this visit targets boosting tourism in Egypt and the strict applied protective measures against COVID-19 by the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities for protecting tourists.
