Ambassador of Italy in Cairo H.E. Michele Quaroni inaugurated on Monday, a special sculpture exhibition about the "world influencers, and iconic role models from different backgrounds" for the talented artist Fadi Francis.
Quaroni praised the exhibition, which remains open at Cairo Opera House till the 10th of June, saying that the statues by Francis were very impressive.
Speaking to the media representatives, Francis said that he has been pursuing his love for art ever since he was a little boy, a love he inherited from his mother, the Egyptian artist Mervat Francis.
"The idea behind the exhibition is to bring some iconic celebrities and role models together in one place," said the 31-year-old artist.
The exhibition includes 30 sculptures of small sizes depicting legendary international personalities like Egypt's Um Kalthoum, Naguib Mahfouz, German scientist Albert Einstein, and Brazilian footballer Pele.
This new collection is among the 100 clay sculptures made by Francis during the past four years.
