An Italian aid plane arrived at Khartoum International Airport to provide urgent humanitarian needs for the population affected by the flooding in Sudan
Badr El Din Abdullah, Deputy Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid, Hassan Hamed, the Foreign Ministry Peace Administration Director, Walid Hassan, Deputy Director of the European Department at the Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Gailuigi Vasallo, the Italian Ambassador to Khartoum, and Robert Van Dol, head of the European Union mission in Khartoum received the plane.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Sudan expressed its deep gratitude for the Italian government and its kind people for offering help and standing by Sudan in this delicate circumstance.
The Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs praised the historical and advanced relations between Sudan and Italy which extended cooperation in various fields.
Sudan highly appreciated the continuous coordination with Italy in many issues of common interest, as well as the exchange of support in international forums, and its efforts to support the transition process in Sudan.
