The Israeli army radio announced on Friday the arrest of two of the six prisoners who escaped from Gilboa prison, at dawn last Monday.

Palestinian media published two pictures of the two arrested prisoners, Yaqoub Qadri and Muhammad Al-Ardah.

The Palestinian media and news agencies had announced that two bags had been found in northern Israel on Friday, likely belonging to the six Palestinian prisoners who escaped from Gilboa High Security Prison, last Monday.

"Russia Today" reported that the trackers experts of the occupation police found two bags in the Afula area, during the search for the fleeing prisoners, noting that this is evidence that the prisoners passed through the town of Balfouria, north of the city of Afula.

The Hebrew newspaper "Maariv" suggested that the Palestinian prisoners were heading near the northern border with Lebanon, amid Jordanian security sources denying that the six Palestinian prisoners had crossed the kingdom's borders, before the newspaper deleted the news minutes after it was published, according to "Sputnik".

The occupation police are continuing combing operations and imposing ambushes to search for the rest of the six fleeing prisoners, while they arrested 3 suspected Palestinians in a village in northern Israel, which they said helped the prisoners in the process of escaping from the Israeli prison.

Immediately after announcing the news of the escape, the Israeli police announced that they were investigating the possibility that some of the jailers in Gilboa prison were connected and aware of the escape of six Palestinian prisoners from the prison, at dawn today, Monday.

The Israeli radio, "Kan", reported that the Interrogation Department of the Warders of the Lahav 433 unit was examining the possibility of some of the jailers being involved in the operation, while the Walla website said that it was being examined if there were members of the jailers in Gilboa prison who helped the six prisoners escape.

The "Yedioth Ahronoth" an Israeli daily  newspaper reported that "there is a possibility of foreign participation, and this confirms that there is a failure at the level of the security services."
