Galant added during his meeting in the Southern Command, on Sunday, that "the withdrawal of forces from Khan Yunis took place after Hamas stopped operating as a military organization throughout the Gaza Strip."
Reuters quoted an Israeli military spokesman as saying on Sunday that the Israeli army had withdrawn all ground forces from the southern Gaza Strip, except for one battalion.
