Ismailia Int'l Fest for Documentaries, Shorts Kicks off Tonight

The 23rd Ismailia International Film Festival for Documentaries and Shorts kicked off a few minutes ago at Ismailia Cultural Center.

The Minister of Culture Dr. Enas Abdel Dayem, and Ismailia Governor Sherif Fahmy Beshara will be on the head of the opening ceremony's audience.

Iconic Documentaries Director Awaad Shoukry will be honored during the celebration, in addition, several shorts distributed by Clermont - Ferrand Internation Short Film Festival will be screened.

The program will include four films, and they are from France, Netherlands, Spain, and Switzerland. The total of the film screening time will be only 50 minutes, and they will focus on the performance of the actors and their cinematic interactions.

Founded in 1991, the festival is one of the oldest specialized cinema festivals in the MENA region, and it is an annual event.
