Dr. Nazeer Ayyad, secretary-general of the Islamic Research institute, said that Al-Azhar today Sunday, signed a protocol of cooperation between the Islamic Research Complex and Al-Azhar University and the Egyptian Space Agency. The latter is one of the most important institutions that aims to create space technology sciences, localize and develop them, and to build and launch Egyptian satellites locally.
The Secretary-General added that this event represents an important turning point regarding the renewal of religious discourse, as the provisions of the Protocol represent a joint and effective cooperation to train and enable Al-Azhar preachers in dealing with contemporary issues.
He noted that the protocol signing was attended by the President of the University, the Secretary-General of the Research Complex and Dr. Mohamed ElKoosy, the CEO of the Egyptian Space Agency.
Ayyad pointed out that these protocols represent an important factor of Al-Azhar's strategy in dealing with the emerging issues that need to combine Sharia sciences with various scientific majors.
