Egyptian writer Mohamed Salah Al-Azab, one of the creators of the TV series "Saffah Al Giza", has addressed the possibility of season 2.

The thriller masterpiece is based on true events and stars Egyptian actor and screenwriter Ahmed Fahmy as Gaddafi Faraj Abdel-Ati, known as The Butcher of Giza, who caused an uproar nationwide and received a death sentence in 2021.

The cast also includes Hanan Youssef, Salah Abdallah, Rakeen Saad, Bassem Samra, and others.

"Saffah Al Giza" is a Shahid original content consisting of eight episodes and hails from director Hady El Bagory and workshop Engy Abu Al-Saud, and Imad Matar.

"There is no second season to the series. Gaber's story concluded at the season finale and it is difficult to make a second season,” Salah Al-Azab said in a statement.

"I do not prefer to present a second season for any TV production I presented," he noted. "I made many successful series and the audience asked me to present a second season but I utterly reject,".

Salah Al-Azab added that the desire was commonly shared between him and Fahmy.

"Presenting a second season so far is something that is not on the table by the creative personnel. What can make us reconsider making a new season is that there is a new and different story from the plot of the first season."
