Iranian state media said on Thursday that three fishermen were killed and 15 others wounded in U.S. strikes that targeted a fishing pier in the southern city of Sirik.
Meanwhile, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said three of its personnel were killed in U.S. strikes carried out early Wednesday in the southwestern province of Khuzestan.
Iran's Foreign Ministry also accused the United States of targeting a railway line leading to the northeastern city of Mashhad, without providing further details on the extent of the damage.
The reported casualties came hours after the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said it had conducted a broader round of strikes against Iranian military targets, including coastal radar sites, anti-ship missile positions and air defense systems, saying the operation was aimed at reducing Iran's ability to threaten shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
The U.S. military has not commented on the Iranian reports of civilian casualties or damage to civilian infrastructure.
