Nabila Makram Abdel-Shahid, Minister of State for Immigration and Egyptians Affairs Abroad, participated in the 46th International Conference of the Association of Egyptian Scientists in America and Canada.
The conference is organized by the Ministry of Military Production under the title "Sustainable development in Egypt and innovative developments for tomorrow".
The conference is held in cooperation with the Ministries of Immigration and Higher Education and under the auspices of the Prime Minister.

20 scholars and experts from the Association of Egyptian Scholars in America and Canada will take part in the conference.
Makram affirmed her keenness to host the sons of Egypt abroad from the Association of Egyptian Scholars in North America and benefit from their experiences, stressing that the Ministry of Military Production provides a positive message to all scientists and experts that the state with all its institutions opens its arms to benefit from the experiences of scholars abroad.
Makram revealed that the ministry seeks through a series of “Egypt Can” conferences to attract Egyptian scientists abroad in order to benefit from their experiences.
The minister added that there are many great scientific experts abroad who always try to provide the best researches to their countries.
Among them is the late Professor Abdel Halim Omar, Professor of Engineering at the Canadian University of Carleton, and the owner of the "Haras Amir" paving of roads in Egypt; the construction is done according to international standards, in cooperation with military production.
Other experts are Dr. Wageh Al-Maraghi, Professor of Mechanical, Automotive and Materials Engineering, and Dr. Hoda Al-Maraghi, the first woman of Arab origin to receive the first-class Medal of Honor in Canada's Ontario Province.

Hoda Al-Maraghi is the first woman to reach the position of dean of the College of Engineering in Canada, as she was the first woman to obtain a doctorate in the field of mechanical engineering in Canada.
Among the experts who will partake in the conference are: Dr. Hani Al-Katib, advisor to the President of the Republic and expert in statistics, as well as Dr. Mohamed Mahmoud, deputy governor of Minya current And the designer of the first 100% Egyptian computer board, the owner of the first idea of establishing Egyptian companies whose work is based on feeding the space industry in Egypt.
The list includes many other scientists and experts who the Ministry of Military Production was able to use their energies and expertise in many fields to advance the homeland and involve them in many national projects that Egypt launched recently.
On his part, Major General Mohamed Al-Assar, Minister of State for Military Production, valued the role of the Ministry of Immigration in linking Egyptian scholars abroad with their homeland and its keenness to link them with the relevant government agencies to benefit from their experiences.
He stressed that they have a great desire to cooperate in order to advance the Egyptian industry and achieve sustainable development that the country aims to implement in 2030.

He pointed out that the Ministry of Military Production aims to establish partnerships with international companies, to transfer the technology necessary to make high-quality Egyptian products, indicating that he has great hope that Egypt will witness a huge industrial renaissance during the coming period.
Furthermore, Dr. Mahmoud Saqr, President of the Academy of Scientific Research, emphasized that the "Bridges of Development" project was launched from the "Egypt Can" conferences to transfer and localize technology and link Egyptian scientists abroad with their homeland.
He added that this project has funded research projects for scientists at home and abroad with a value of one million pounds for the project; 62 projects have been funded since 2016 to date.
