Egyptian actress Injy El Mokkaddem will no longer star in the TV series “Selah Rahem”.
The series was set to reunite El Mokkaddem with Jordanian actor Eyad Nassar for the third time after the 2022 film "11:11" and the 2019 TV series "Hawadit El Champ-Elysees".
The cast also includes Yosra El Lozy, Asma Abulyazeid, Ali Eltayeb, and more. The series consists of 15 episodes and hails from scriptwriter Ahmad Abu Zaid and director Tamer Nady.
"Selah Rahem" is set to debut during the Ramadan 2024 drama marathon.
El Mokkaddem, born on July 23, 1977, is an Egyptian actress and TV host. She studied psychology at the American University in Cairo (AUC).
At the beginning of her career, she worked as a TV host and presenter on the Orbit TV network on the program “El Salem We El Thaaban” (Snake and Ladder).
El Mokkaddem also participated in presenting the show “Mesaa’k Sukr Ziyada” (Your Evening Is Extra Sugar) on the OTV station, owned by Egyptian businessman Naguib Sawiris.
She made her acting debut in 2006 TV sitcom “Ahmed Itgawiz Muna” (Ahmed Married Mona), following which she co-starred in several TV series such as “Lahazat Harega” (Critical Moments), “Haramet Ya Baba,” “Si Omar We Layla Afendy,” “Qulub” (Hearts), and Heba Rigll El Gharab” (Heba the Crow’s Foot).
El Mokkaddem is also known for her roles in TV series "Eugenie Nights", "30 Youm", "La Totfe' Al Shams", and "Saraya Abdeen".
