Egypt is advancing one of the region's largest transportation modernization programs, with a 2,000-kilometer high-speed electric rail network spanning three main lines and 60 stations, according to an infographic highlighting the country's major infrastructure projects. The rail system will connect key cities, ports and economic zones, including the Ain Sokhna–New Alamein–Marsa Matrouh, 6th of October City–Aswan–Abu Simbel, and Qena–Hurghada–Safaga corridors, supporting faster and more efficient nationwide mobility.

The infographic also highlights the 100-kilometer Cairo Monorail, which will include 35 stations across the East and West Nile lines and is expected to serve up to 1.2 million passengers daily. The East Nile Monorail alone extends 56.5 kilometers and includes 22 stations. Egyptian officials say the integrated transport network is designed to promote sustainable mobility, reduce travel times and strengthen connectivity between major urban centers, ports and industrial zones, reinforcing Egypt's role as a regional transportation hub.
