The Indian High Commission in Britain has urged its citizens traveling to Britain to remain vigilant and cautious in areas that have witnessed recent violent incidents and riots.
The Indian Commission said in a statement on Wednesday that it is closely monitoring the developments of the situation and that it advises Indian citizens to follow local news bulletins and warnings issued by internal security agencies regarding developments in the situation so that they can avoid areas witnessing protests.
It added that Indian travelers should be aware of the repercussions of the recent unrest in some British areas, and that the Commission also advises Indian citizens to contact it in the event of any emergency incident.
It is worth noting that the American news network "CNN" reported that several rioters, last Sunday, set fires and stormed some shelters for asylum seekers in northern England, and that right-wing extremists are accused of inciting demonstrations against immigrants.
