President Abdel Fattah El Sisi laid a wreath of flowers on the memorial of the Unknown Soldier at the Heroes' Square in Budapest during his official trip to Hungary, according to Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.

Sisi headed to Hungary on Monday to take part in the Egypt-Visegrád Group conference. The V4 countries are Hungary, the Czech Republic, Poland, and Slovakia.

Upon his arrival in Budapest, the President was received by senior statesmen in Hungary and members of the Egyptian embassy in the Hungarian capital.

“The Egyptian State seeks to develop cooperation with the Czech Republic within the framework of this important regional bloc since it includes friendly countries that share similar thoughts and priorities with Egypt,” said Rady.
