It is part of the Presidential “Life-Saving Boats ” initiative, in which Ambassador Mohamed Khairat, Assistant Minister for International Cooperation, the Deputy Managing Director of the Misr El Kheir Foundation Mr. Mohamed Abdel Rahman, and Mr. Andreas Adrian, Coordinator of the Sustainable Economic Development for Employment Cluster at GIZ Egypt participated in the signing event in Nov. 2021.
Egyptian-German Centres for Jobs, which are located in 14 provinces, are designed to promote inclusivity in the labor sector, according to Makram.
The initiative is focused on engaging young people in cooperative, project-based learning while working as a team workgroup to build and influence their future locally.
Through a focus on Leadership skills and a self-learning approach, the centers will help the young entrepreneurs build and promote their projects and will equip business advisors with the skills to better support startups.
Makram indicated that the training centers will support the integration of young Egyptians in the labor market in Egypt and in Germany and the reintegration of Egyptian returnees from abroad into Egypt's society, both economically and socially.
Meanwhile, Gomaa took this occasion to confer words of praise upon GIZ, and also he expressed his gratitude to the officials of the program for their excellent leadership in launching this timely and significant project.
On his part, Khairat revealed that the 14 Centers' offices were renovated and equipped with computers, screens, educational tools, and communication facilities.
It's worth mentioning that the new protocol focuses on meeting the needs and demands of Egyptian youth searching for better working and training opportunities.
