On the occasion of the Ministry of Immigration being reinstated after 4 years, a ceremony was held in honor of former immigration ministers; the families of the four former immigration ministers got to say a word during the prestigious event.
Among those family members was Naser William, the son of Egypt's first minister of immigration , who expressed his appreciation of the ministry's effort to forge bridges in order to tie Egyptians abroad with their state to help increase their sense of nationhood.
Nasser Sweillam, Secretary of the Ministry of Parliament affairs, assured that William Naguib helped plant the sense of nationhood among Egyptians living abroad, revealing that he received the national emblem in 1983 in honor of his achievements.
At the same time, the fourth son of the minister Albert Salama, who became the first minister of immigration in 1981 in the era of Anwar El-Sadat, clarified that an immigration law was issued during his era in addition to the establishment of unions for Egyptians abroad. Salama was also keen on the importance of Egyptian money transfers from abroad which ranks third after the Suez Canal and tourism relating to Egypt's earnings.
He also, praised the efforts of Nabila Makram Abdel Shahid, current Immigration Minister, in restoring confidence between Egyptians abroad and their motherland, in addition to their participation in political forums
Dr. Mina Magdy Adly Beshay, grandson of Minister Adly Beshay, former Minister of Migration, pointed out that he did not see his grandfather because he died at the age of two years, but his father told him about his patriotism and his constant quest to serve his country, when he was a deputy in the People's Assembly and the Shura Council., and electoral events.

He pointed out that the late minister received the Order of the Republic from former President Hosni Mubarak, in recognition of his efforts to serve the country.
On his part, Dr. Rami Iskandar, grandson of former Minister of Immigration Fouad Iskandar, praised the organization of the Ministry of Immigration for this even, and praised the humanitarian gesture to honor the late ministers.
He stated that his father, the last minister of immigration until 1993, studied economics and has important articles on economics and politics, stressing that he had spent his knowledge, time and effort to serve Egypt and develop an economic vision, and serve Egyptians abroad.
He also praised the humanitarian gesture of Makram's visiting Ms. Nadia Iskandar in the hospital, stressing that this is a good gesture, not new to the Ministry of Immigration.
