CAIRO, Jan. 3 (SEE) – Minister of Immigration Nabila Makram contacted Civil Aviation Minister Younis El Masri, with regard to the transfer of the bodies of the Egyptians who died following a tragic accident in State of Kuwait, to their home villages at governorates of Sohag and Luxor.

Makram explained that El Masri issued a decision to ship the bodies of Egyptians to their home villages for free whenever they arrive at Cairo airport on EgyptAir, on board internal aviation routes.

Immigration minister added that the Aviation minister also issued a decision to increase the future reduction in the fees for the transfer of the dead bodies, to 50% instead of 25%.

Makram thanked her Civil Aviation counterpart for his prompt response and cooperation.

Both have expressed condolences to the families of the Egyptians.

On Thursday, six Egyptians were killed in a traffic accident on a highway when they were boarding a taxi which collided with a car carrying a Kuwaiti family.
