Egyptian actor Amr Abdul Gelil has recently signed on to star in the film "Hammam Al Arees".
Hussein Fahmy, Sawsan Badr, and Rania Youssef round out the cast.
The film is a light comedy hailing from filmmaker Hassan Saleh and is set to debut sometime later in the summer.
On the other hand, Abdul Gelil is set to star actor Mohamed Emam's remake of the 1991 cult film "Shams elzanaty", which starred his father, prominent Egyptian actor, “El Zaeem” Adel Imam.
Ahmed Khaled Saleh is also attached to star in the pic.
Set during WW2, "Shams elzanaty" follows an oasis village being attacked frequently by a group of robbers, led by a marshal. The village's old man Sheikh Othman travels to Cairo, Egypt, to buy weapons and men, Shams Elzanaty and his fellows, to fight back.
It also included Mahmoud Hemeida, Sawsan Badr, Mahmoud El Gendy, Mustafa Metwalli, Abdullah Mahmoud, Ahmad Maher, Ibrahim Nasr, Roshdy El Mahdy, Aly Abdel Raheem, Noha El Amroussy, Saeed Tarabeek, and more.
The remake serves as a follow-up to the original film and hails from filmmaker Amr Salama and screenwriter Mohamed El Dabbah.
