The members of the museum displaying committee are about to add the final touches to the Tutankhamun temporary exhibition in the Hurghada museum. The exhibition will showcase some of Tutankhamun’s antiques and is set to start in the next few days.

Dr. Mahmoud Mabrouk, the adviser of the minister of tourism and antiques for museum, pointed out that the antiques were chosen carefully to narrate the golden king’s life story during both the childhood and youth stages as well as showing the beauty of the ancient Egyptian art.

Mabrouk added that the exhibition is considered a way to attract the tourists in Hurghada to see Tutankhamun’s treasures and learn about the majestic Egyptian civilization and the ancient Egyptian art and life.

The exhibition includes 10 carefully chosen pieces with the gold painted wooden statue of the Ptah god as the master piece.

These pieces were a part of the “Tutankhamun … Treasures of the Golden Pharaoh” exhibition that started its international tour in 2018. The exhibition visited Los Angeles in the United States of America, the French capital Paris and the English capital London. The exhibition also broke a world record in Paris with one million and 400 thousand visitors during the period of 6 months in 2019.

Immediately after the tour, the supreme council of antiques decided showcasing 10 of these pieces temporarily at the Hurghada museum that was opened lately as well as showcasing another 10 pieces at the Sharm El Sheikh museum that will be opened later this year.
