Notting Hill Carnival is a vibrant and lively event held annually in Notting Hill, London, to celebrate Caribbean culture and heritage  which has been taking place since 1966 particularly among the West Indian community in London. It took a break in 2020 and 2021 due to Covid restrictions.  Notting Hill Carnival is a huge free street festival vibrant and lively event held annually in Notting Hill, London. The carnival Notting Hill Carnival takes place on over the August bank holiday weekend in London. Officially, the main venue happens on Sunday and Monday — that's when the parade starts.

One of the highlights of the carnival is the colorful and elaborate parade processions featuring costumed performers, dancers, and musicians. These parades showcase the rich cultural heritage of the Caribbean, with participants representing various islands and traditions. There are also great calypso music and steel drum bands, as well as plenty of modern music genre such as hip hop and more.  Notting Hill Carnival is known for its infectious Caribbean music, especially genres like calypso, soca, reggae, and dancehall.

The carnival is renowned for its delicious Caribbean cuisine, with stalls offering a wide range of dishes such as jerk chicken, patties, rice and peas, roti, and more. Traditional Caribbean drinks like rum punch and coconut water are also popular.

Overall, the Notting Hill Carnival is a vibrant and culturally rich event that celebrates diversity, music, food, and the spirit of togetherness.
