The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicts hot weather will prevail in most of the country during Wednesday‘s daylight hours.
Moderate weather is also expected to prevail in the North Coast, while South Upper Egypt will experience scorching conditions.
Wind speeds between 30 and 40 kilometres per hour (km/h) are expected to occasionally occur in most parts of Egypt, stirring up sand and dust in the South Sinai, Northwest Coast, and the Red Sea governorate, limiting horizontal visibility in the Western Sahara and Upper Egypt.
Light rainfall will prevail intermittently in the North Coast and the North Lower Egypt.
Furthermore, maritime navigation is also expected to be disrupted in the Mediterranean Sea, the Red Sea, the Gulf of Suez, and the Gulf of Aqaba with winds averaging 50 to 60 km/h and waves ranging between 2:3 meters.
Moderate weather is also expected to prevail in Egypt at night and in the early morning.
The predicted temperatures for the following cities are 31°C in Cairo, 26°C in Alexandria, 24°C in Marsa Matruh, 37°C in Sohag, 42°C in Qena, and 48°C in Aswan.
