The New Cairo Court sentenced Monday superstar, Sherine Abdel-Wahab's husband, singer and composer, Hossam Habib to one year in prison for attempting to murder his wife’s former manager, producer Yasser Khalil, in front of his house at gunpoint.

Furthermore, it is scheduled for the New Cairo Misdemeanor Court to hear Habib’s appeal against the magistrate's orders on April 9.

Sherine did not react to the court sentence and carried on with her social media hiatus.

She quit social media last year due to people interfering in her personal life.

However, Habib announced via Instagram stories that Sherine has agreed to return to the social media again.

He thanked the fans for their love and continuous support and announced that she will return real soon.

“We have seen all the support and love in your beautiful words and we promise you that Sherine will return very soon on social media because she has also missed being in your midst very much.”

It is worth mentioning that Habib, born on May 31, 1980, is an Egyptian singer and composer.

He grew up with a passion for singing and football. Habib started his career as a composer and collaborated with many great musicians including Lebanese recording artist Elissa.

Habib loved singing and composing, but never tried to make it as a singer, however, with the encouragement of his family and friends, they convinced him to give it a shot.

He signed with a production company, which produced his first single “Men Yomak”.

Habib is known for singing “Shoft B'einaya”, “Kol Maghanni”, “Bafakkar Fik”, “Zay El Ayam Deeh”, “We Rge'na Tany”, and “Wana Wayak”.

The couple got married in a private ceremony on April 7, 2018, whose relationship has sparked speculation suggesting they got secretly married on January 25, 2018, after Habib’s father, Hussain, posted a picture of them together on Facebook, and captioned: “My son’s bride”.

However, Habib denied the rumors in a press statement and stressed that the news was incorrect and that they were only close friends.

Hussain supported his statement and deleted the post from Facebook.

The couple were known for their strong friendship and have been seen together dozens of times on many artistic occasions.
