Egyptian actress Horeya Farghaly has got candid about the difficult period she experienced after undergoing several unsuccessful nose surgeries in the past years, which caused her to step away from acting and face many health problems.
In a new interview with the "DMC" TV channel, Farghaly disclosed she underwent 27 surgical procedures in 8 years.
"There is only surgical procedure left to undergo, which is symmetry rhinoplasty, however, it is not necessary to be performed," she added.
Farghaly also spoke about her satisfaction with her current look and that she no longer cares what people say about her look.
"In the beginning, I was very picky and I would like to appear in my best shape, even during my illness period, but two years ago I became confident in myself and thankful," she noted.
Farghaly continued that anyone who doesn't like anything about her should look the way.
The actress pointed out that she had regained her sense of smell and is now in a better condition, explaining that during the Coronavirus pandemic, she wished for death.
“Two years ago I wanted to die, there was coronavirus and the doctor who could have treated me was in the United States and the embassy was closed. I had no nostrils and I couldn’t eat, smell or look in the mirror. Life was like death for me.”
Farghaly remained hopeful and shared that she was waiting for an opportunity to return to acting again and or any offers to be presented to her.
“The dream of my life is to present a third season of 'Saherat Al Janoob' and I wish to present the role of Hatshepsut and Dhat Al-Himma Princess.”
Farghaly, born on October 18, 1976, won the title of Miss Egypt in 2002.
In 2010, she made her acting debut in Khaled Youssef's "Kalemni Shokran" (Please Call Me).
The actress is best known for her roles in the TV series "Ayam" (2021), "Saherat Al Janoob" (2015), "Amrad Nesaa" (2014), "Bedoun Zikr Asma" (2013), “Hekayat Banat” (2012), “Sedna El Sayed” (2012), “Al Shawareh Al Khalfia” (2011), and in TV series "Dawaran Shubra" (2011).
Farghaly is also known for her roles in films such as "Estedaa Wale Amr (2019), "Talq Sina'iee" (2018), "Decor" (2014), "Salem Abu Okhto" (2014), "Al Qashash" (2013), "Qalb El-Assad" (2013), "Nazareyet Amity" (2013), "Helm Aziz" (2012), "Rad Fe'l" (2012), and "Abdo Motah" (2012).
