Hollywood witnessed an extraordinary event yesterday with the world premiere of the documentary "The Man with the Hat," a film highlighting the life and illustrious career of the world-renowned Egyptian archaeologist, Dr. Zahi Hawass.

The premiere was hosted at the historic Lido Theatre—Hollywood’s oldest and most prestigious venue with a 90-year legacy. The film was presented in two screenings (2:00 PM and 7:00 PM) to a packed audience of filmmakers, intellectuals, and public figures passionate about Egyptian heritage and civilization.

The event was inaugurated by Gregg Schwenk, CEO of the film festival and lead organizer, alongside Ambassador Hossam Ali, the Consul General of Egypt in Los Angeles. In his opening remarks, Ambassador Ali emphasized the deep cultural ties between Egypt and the United States and the importance of documenting the journeys of Egyptian icons on a global stage.

Renowned Hollywood host Scott “Movie Man” Mantz moderated the sessions. Following the screenings, Dr. Zahi Hawass and film producer Jeff Roth participated in a Q&A session, engaging with an enthusiastic audience regarding the "behind-the-scenes" stories of the filming process and the archaeological secrets revealed in the work.

Dr. Zahi Hawass expressed his delight at being honored in the heart of Hollywood, noting that the film is more than just a personal biography; it is a global invitation to explore the magic of Ancient Egyptian civilization and to appreciate the ongoing efforts to protect this shared human heritage.
