Hesham Maged Lands Next TV Role

Egyptian actor and screenwriter Hesham Maged has landed his next TV role.

The untitled project consists of 10 episodes and hails from director Ahmed Mohamady and scriptwriter Khaled El-Halfawy.

The production is set to debut on the VOD platform sometime in 2026.

Maged was recently screened in season 5 of the hit comedy TV series "El Leaba" (The Game). 

The cast also includes Chico, Mai Kassab, Mirna Gamil, Mohamed Tharwat, Samy Maghawry, and others.

Moataz El Tony directs the series from a screenplay by Fadi Abu Al-Saud and Ahmed Wali.

The series, first aired in 2020, revolves around two friends from childhood, Wassim and Mazo, who always compete against each other. 

This habit is put to an end when the pair gets old. However, a letter from a mysterious man makes them go back to the game.

In season 5, the two leaving past problems behind to enter a direct, high-stakes confrontation.

Maged, born on April 26, 1980, graduated from Cairo University.

During university, he created the Tamr Hendi production company with his friends, which produced films that ridiculed famous Egyptian films.

They created the film “Men who do not know the impossible”, a project that attracted the attention of Mohamed Hefzy, who at the time was trying his hand at production.

Hefzy produced their first TV series “Afeesh wa Tashbeeh” which cynically tackled Egyptian classics in each episode.

He also produced the trio's 2008 film "Waraqat Shifra," which was a big hit at the box office.

Maged starred and scripted the film, which familiarized his face to the audience. He won the award of the “Best New Faces" for the year, in participation with his mates Ahmed Fahmy and Chico.
