The first look at Tunisian actress Hend Sabry's "Manaa" ("Immunity") has been unveiled.
The cast also stars Ryad El Khouly, Mimi Gamal, Ahmed Khaled Saleh, Hoda Eletreby, Khaled Selim, Karim Kassem, Mohamed Aly Rezk, and more.
Hussein Manawy directs the drama from a script by Amr El Daly. United Studios is the studio behind the project.
"Manaa" consists of 15 episodes and is based on true events, delving into the world of drugs and social conflicts while shedding light on “Psychological Immunity,” a system of adaptive resources, cognitive patterns, and personality traits.
Set in the seventies and eighties, the drama features Sabry taking on a different new character, a submissive wife whose husband is killed in a drug deal that goes awry, and her transformation into a strong woman to protect her family.
"Manaa" is set to screen on the "DMC" satellite TV channel and "Watch It" VOD during the Ramadan 2026 drama marathon.
The production marks Sabry's comeback to the drama marathon after a four-year absence. She made her last participation in the 2021 TV series "Hagma Mortadda".
Sabry, born on November 20, 1979, made her acting debut at the age of fourteen in Moufida Tlatli's 1994 Tunisian movie "Samt al Qosoor" (Silence of the Palaces).
In 2002, Egyptian director Inas Al Degheidy introduced Sabry to Egyptian cinema through the movie "Muzakirat Murahiqua" (A Teenager's Diary).
The performance gave her immediate stardom across the Arab world and paved her way to more films in the Egyptian cinema, as well as highlighting her talents, and she soon became one of the most prominent Tunisian actresses in Egypt and the Arab world.
Sabry had also starred in many remarkable Egyptian films, including "Mowaten we Mokhber we Haramy" (A Citizen, a Detective, and a Thief), "Banat West El Balad" (Downtown Girls), "Ibrahim El Abyad", and "Oumaret Yacoubian" (The Yacoubian Building).
She received more than 25 awards in appreciation of her achievements as an actress.
