The first look at Egyptian actress Hannah El Zahed's highly-anticipated TV series "Iqama Gabrya" (House Arrest) has finally been released.
The drama consists of 10 episodes and is set to premiere on the Watch IT streaming platform sometime later in 2024.
The cast also includes Sabrien, Aida Reyad, Mahmoud al Bezzawy, Tharaa Goubail, Mohamed El Sharnouby, and more.
It is scripted by Ahmed Adel, directed by Ahmed Samir Farag, and produced by Sabbah Pictures.
"Iqama Gabrya" marks the third collaboration between El Zahed and El Sharnouby.
They collaborated for the first time in the TV series "Helwa El Donia Sokar" and the star-studded film “Baad Saat Fi Youm Ma”.
El Zahed made her last appearance on the small screen in the TV Series "Seeb Wana Seeb", starring Ahmed El Saadany.
It also starred Alrefa Abdel Rasoul, Mahmoud Al Bezzawy, Mohamed Gomaa, Aya Samaha, Ahmed Sultan, Donia Sami, Yara Gibran, Fatima Al-Kashef, and others.
The series is written by Rana Abu Al-Rish and directed by Wael Ihsan.
"Seeb Wana Seeb" marks El Zahed's second time playing the title role in a drama. She landed her first lead role in a drama in 2021's "Helwa El Donia Sokar".
On the other hand, El Zahed has been tapped in the lead role in the TV series "Noskha Wahda la takfi".
The drama consists of 15 and is produced by MediaHub production.
El Zahed is teaming up with director Yasmine Ahmed Kamel ("Aala Nesbet Moshahda") in the project.
The drama sees the actress stepping away from the comedy genre and taking on a more serious tone.
It also marks El Zahed's onscreen comeback to the drama marathon after 4 years of absence.
She made her last participation with the 2021 TV series “Al Nimr” (Tiger).
The cast also included Mohamed Reyad, Mohamed Emam, Nermine El Feky, Ahmed Abdallah Mahmoud, Bayoumi Fouad, Ahmed Khaled Saleh, and more.
“Al Nimr” is written by Mohamed Salah Al-Azab, directed by Sherine Adel, and produced by Synergy production company.
Zahed participated last Ramadan with the radio series "Fabraka".
The cast also includes Ahmed Helmy, Sawsan Badr, Taha Desouky, Cynthia Khalifeh, Samy Maghawry, Noor Kadri, and more.
It is scripted by Nouran Nassar and directed by Safy El Din Hassan. The series is a comedy genre that deals with the phenomenon of “trends” and the attempt of some channels to achieve high views, even through “fabrication.”
”Fabraka” marks the sixth collaboration between Helmy and El Zahed after 2024's "Teet", 2023's "Memo" and "Matloob Arees" as well as 2022's “Aleisma fi Yadi”, and 2020's “Lef W Argaa Tani".
El Zahed, born on January 5, 1994, made her acting debut in the 2003 film “Al Meshakhsaty”.
The actress stepped away from the entertainment industry for years and resumed her career in the 2014 film ”Khetet Jimmy” and TV series “Farq Tawqit”.
She is known for her roles in TV productions “Ana W Heya” (2022), "El Nemr" (2021), “Helwa El Donia Sokar” (2021), “El wad Sayed el Shahat” (2019), “Ayoub” (2018), “Sok Ala Akhwatak” (2018), “Fel La La Land” (2017), “Al Mizan” (2016), “Mawlana Al-asheq” (2015), “El Boyoot Asrar” (2015) “Alf Leila Wa Leila” (2015), and “Farq Tawqit”( 2014).
El Zahed is also known for her roles in films "Al-Ghasala" (2020), “Uqdat el-Khawagah” (2018), "Oqdet Al Khawaja" (2018), and “Khetet Jimmy” (2014).
