Today, Monday, various films will be screened during the 42nd CIFF competitions.
"SEENews" Sums up the most significant film screenings.
The Lebanese “We Are from There” will be screened at the Cairo Opera House Small Theater at 12:30 pm. "Under the Concrete" will be displayed at Odeon 2 Cinema at 7 pm.
Both films are the Horizons of Arab Cinema Competition participants.
On the other hand, Cairo Opera House Grand Mall will host the screening of the Mexican “50 or Two Whales Meet at the Beach,” the French “Gogarine,” and the Bulgarian "German Lessons." The mentioned films compete at CIFF international competition.
“50 or Two Whales Meet at the Beach” screening will be at 2.30 pm, “Gogarine” will be displayed at 6 pm, and the “German Lessons” event will be at 9 pm.
Furthermore, the third group of Cinema of Tomorrow films will be screened at Hanager Theater at 3:30 pm.
The third program of Cinema of Tomorrow’s films includes: “About a Girl” (Egypt), “I Bit My Tongue” (Tunisia, France), “Sunday at Five” (Egypt), “The Red Spiral” (Venezuela), and “The Way We Wait” (UK, South Korea).
Furthermore, the second group of Cinema of Tomorrow films will be screened at the Odeon 2 Cinema at 1 pm.
This group consists of: “Flori, Flori, Flori” (Italy), “Henet Ward”(Egypt), “Life on the Horn” (Somalia), and “The Handyman” (Australia).
At 6:30, the Italian “The Best is Yet to Come” will be screened at the Small Theater as part of International Critics' Week. On the other hand, "My Name is Baghdad" will be screened at the Odean 1 Cinema at 10 pm.
"Conference" will be screened at the Odeon 1 Cinema. “Curfew” by the Egyptian Amir Ramses will be displayed at WE Theater at 6.30 pm. At the Odeon 1 Cinema, the "Lift Like a Girl" screening will take place at 10 pm.
Fellini’s “8 1/2” will be screened at Hanager Theater” 12:30 pm.
The 42nd CIFF took off on Wednesday and it witnesses the participation of 84 films.
