Health Minister Reviews Egypt's COVID-19 Vaccine Supplies

On Wednesday, Minister of Health Dr. Hala Zayed reviewed Egypt's current situation of vaccine supplies.

During her speech in the weekly cabinet meeting, the minister highlighted that 500,000 Sinopharm doses will arrive through the upcoming days rising the total number of received Sinopharm doses to 2.580.400.

Moreover, 1.9 million AstraZeneca vaccine doses will arrive during the first week of June rising the total number of received AstraZeneca vaccine to 5.253.600

In addition, Zayed added that Egypt will receive a million dose-shipment of Sinovac in the final week of May.

In the same context, the director of the Egyptian Authority for Unified Procurement, Medical Supply, and the Management of Medical Technology (UPA) Dr. Bahaa El Din Zidan that Egypt has contracted to get 20 million Sputnik V vaccine doses, and 20 million Johnson & Johnson vaccine doses.
