German Minister of Health Jens Spahn indicated on Friday that Germany needs a strict lockdown to control the current third wave of the Coronavirus.
He added that the recorded figures do not tell the whole truth of the medical situation in the state, asserting that the ongoing situation is hard to control.
Germany recorded more than 2 million COVID-19 infections since the beginning of the virus crisis.
Moreover, it reported new 20407 Coronavirus infections on Thursday.
Last week, the state witnessed a sense of chaos over the hopes of the government of imposing a three-day lockdown during the Easter holidays to control the spread of the disease.
The decision was responded to by harsh protests and violent acts in several cities across the country rejecting the decision.
