Another fan-favorite star from the MCU will make their return in "Avengers: Doomsday".

Hayley Atwell is expected to reprise her Agent Carter role in the film.

Atwell first played Peggy Carter in 2011’s "Captain America: The First Avenger".

She later starred in her own miniseries, "Agent Carter", in 2013.

Atwell went on to appear in various MCU projects as Carter throughout the years, including in "Captain America; The Winter Soldier", "Avengers: Age of Ultron", "Ant-Man", "Avengers: Endgame", and as an alternate Earth version of herself in 2022’s "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness".

Atwell is joining fellow former MCU members Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. in the project, with the latter set to play the role of Victor Von Doom, aka Doctor Doom. Currently, it’s unclear exactly what Evans’ role in the film will be.

Anthony and Joe Russo are also returning to direct and Marvel president Kevin Feige is on board to produce.

Plot details are unknown at this time. The movie will bow in theaters on May 1, 2026.

The project was first to report in 2021 that Marvel and Evans were discussing a return in some form to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the belief was Atwell was also part of that plan to potentially return for a stand-alone movie.

A story for that film could not get nailed down, but in recent months both sides saw the new Avengers film as the perfect opportunity to bring back both characters.

Atwell can be seen next reprising her role of Grace in the upcoming "Mission: Impossible – Final Reckoning", which bows in May.
