Kuwaiti television and theatre stalwart Hayat Al Fahad was hospitalized in the intensive care unit (ICU) on Wednesday after suffering a health scare.
Al Fahad's official page on Instagram broke the news and asked her fans to pray for her recovery.
Kuwaiti media outlets reported that the veteran actress suffered a stroke, which required her transfer to the ICU and banned her from receiving visitors until her health improved.
Born on April 15, 1948, Al Fahad is one of the most prominent stars of the Gulf countries.
She is best known for her Kuwaiti plays and the pop culture TV shows "Khalti Qumasha," "Ruqiya wa Sabika," "Jarh Al Zaman," and "'ndama Tu'Gany Al Zuhor."
Besides her acting career, Al Fahad is also a broadcaster, writer and producer.
