Hawass: Secrets of Tutankhamun’s Death Will Be Revealed in 2020

Egyptian archaeologist Dr. Zahi Hawass gave a lecture on Egyptian antiquities in the Republic of Serbia in the presence of Egyptian Ambassador Amr El-Goueili and former Ambassador of Serbia to Egypt.

In this lecture, attended by a thousand people, Hawass talked about the new discoveries of Ministry of Antiquities, the coffins uncovered in Minya,  Al-Assasif cache, the secrets of the Great Sphinx, the Grand Egyptian Museum, and the secrets of the pyramids.

Hawass also announced that after 12 years of excavations at the Temple of Taposiris Magna, there is no evidence that Cleopatra is buried in this place.

Hawass expects that Queen Cleopatra was buried in the cemetery next to the palace and is now under water.

Hawass also revealed:” in 2020, we will announce to the whole world how King Tutankhamun died.”

Following the lecture, the former ambassador of Serbia to Egypt held a dinner party to receive "Hawass" in the presence of many intellectuals, and politicians.

Noteworthy, El-Goueili held a ceremony to receive Dr. Hawass on Sunday. The ceremony was attended by many politicians, artists and media representatives.

On Saturday, Minister of Antiquities Khaled el-Anani announced a new archaeological discovery in Saqqara archaeological area. This discovery was made by an Egyptian archaeological mission, headed by Dr. Mostafa Waziri, the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, during its work at the animals’ cemetery.
