Harry Styles Hit in Face by Flying Object at Concert in Vienna

The disturbing trend of artists being assaulted on stage by objects thrown from the audience continues with Harry Styles being the latest victim.

Styles was hit in the eye by an object thrown by an audience member during his concert in Vienna on Saturday. A visibly hurt Styles bent over, covered his face, and walked off stage.

This is not the first time the “As It Was” objects have hit singer. He was pelted with Skittles during a performance in Los Angeles last year. 

In the same year, during one of his 15 dates at New York’s Madison Square Garden, on Saturday night Styles was pelted with chicken nuggets and briefly halted the show to address the “very interesting approach.”

He became the latest victim in a disturbing trend of fans throwing objects at the stage to get a clickable video moment. Artists including Bebe Rexha, Pink, Kid Cudi, Steve Lacy, Kelsea Ballerini, Drake, and Ava Max have been victimized.

This recent surge in discourteous behavior from audience members has noticeably picked up since the coronavirus lockdowns.

Rexha has been the most serious injury, with a thrown phone hitting her near the eye, causing her to collapse on stage. A 27-year-old man was arrested.

Iconic singer Adele recently warned from the stage that she would fight anyone who threw anything at her.

Adele has had the strongest reaction. She told her audience this week, “Have you noticed how people are like, forgetting show etiquette at the moment? People just throwing s— onstage, have you seen them? I f— dare you. Dare you to throw something at me and I’ll f— kill you.”
