Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, represented by the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, organized a tour for American exhibition basketball team, Harlem Globetrotters,in the Giza Pyramids area during their current visit to Egypt to present their shows in Cairo and Alexandria.
This tour is part of the visit organized for them by US Embassy in Cairo to celebrate the Egyptian-American partnership and enhance cultural exchange and mutual understanding between the peoples. Egypt is also the only country in the Middle East that the team visits during their tour this year.
During their tour inside the Giza Pyramids area, the team members listened to a detailed explanation of the history of this unique archaeological area and how the ancient Egyptians excelled in building the pyramids and carving the Sphinx.
They expressed their happiness with this visit and their admiration for the area, as well as their keenness to record this visit by taking souvenir photos.
It is worth noting that the Harlem Globetrotters team is a global icon in family entertainment and basketball, with a history spanning more than 90 years during which they have achieved several successes.
