Hany Ramzy’s Play “Abo El Araby” to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 10

Egyptian comedian-actor, Hany Ramzy’s new play “Abo El Araby fi Mission Impossible” is scheduled to be staged on December 10, within the activities of Riyadh season, in Saudi Arabia.

Ramzy is reprising his role as Abo El Arabi from the 2009 film “El Sayed Abo El Araby Wasal” in the play, which debuted on Grand Tiba Theater, Cairo, during Eid al-Fitr.

The play also stars Hagag Abdel Azim, Dalia El Behery, Ahmed Fathy, Mohamed Gomaa, and Laila Ezz Al-Arab.

It is written by Mohsen Rizk and directed by Tamer Karam.

“Abo El Araby fi Mission Impossible” is centered around the making of Abo El Araby and his transformation into a new character as an expert in nuclear energy in the family of Hadi Al-Faramawy.

The play marks the actor’s first time to appear on stage in nearly 18 years as he made his last participation in a theatrical production in 2003’s play, “Keda Okay”.

On the other hand, Ramzy will star in a new TV series entitled “Al katel Allazy Ahabany” (The Killer Who Loved Me).

The series is a light comedy genre that is written by Ashraf Salem and directed by Amr Abdeen.

It marks the actor’s comeback to the small screen after seven years of absence since the 2013 TV series “Gooz Mama“.

He is also set to star in the film “Omar Al-Mukhtar”.

Ramzy was last seen in the star-studded film “EGP 200“.

The social genre film also features Nelly Karim, Asser Yassin, Khaled El Sawy, Esaad Younis, Amr Abd El Geleel, Ahmed Rizk, Bayoumi Fouad, Ghada Adel, Ahmed El Sakka, Laila Elwy, Mai Selim, Ahmed Adam, and others.

The film was written by Ahmed Abdullah and directed by Mohamed Amin. It was produced by Art Makers production and Verdi production house.

The plot revolves around the lives of eight people of different social classes who are tied together with EGP 200 paper currency.
