Egyptian stars Hany Adel and Riham Hagag are teaming up again on the TV series "Tawaba".
The drama consists of 15 episodes and marks the third collaboration between the pair after "Gamila" and "Lama Kona Soghayareen".
It also reunites Hagag with the director of the 2025 TV series “Athena" Yahya Ismail.
Ismail directs the series from a script by Ayman Salama. Apple Media Production is the banner behind the project.
The series also stars Anoushka, Asma Abulyazeid, Mohamed Alaa, and more.
"Tawaba" is currently underway and is set to screen in the Ramadan 2026 drama marathon.
Adel, born on September 8, 1976, is one of the founding members of the Egyptian rock soft band Wust El-Balad, which was founded in 1999.
The band appeared on the big screen in the 2005 film “Mallaki Eskenderiya” (Private Alexandria), and in the 2006 film “Awdet Al-Nadla” (Return of the Scarcity).
In 2008, he made his acting debut in the film "Leila Fi Al Qamar".
Afterwards, Adel landed many supporting roles in a number of contemporary Egyptian films dealing with controversial social and political issues in the Arab society.
Among them were the 2010 film "Microphone", the 2011 film "Asmaa", the 2013 film "Fatat El Masnaa" (Factory Girl), and the 2016 film "Eshtebak" (Clash).
Adel is best known for his roles in the TV productions "Beraghm El Qanoun", "Jamila", "Eshha Befarha", "Lama Kona Soghayareen", "Nasibi Wa Qesmetik 3","El-Seham El-Mariqa", "Sabe' Gaar", "Hadha almasa", "Halawt Al-Dunia", "Kabreet Ahmar 1", "Taht El-saytara", "Haret El Yahood", "Saheb El Saa'da", "Asia", and "Zaat".
