Rumors are swirling that the Egyptian actress, Hannah El Zahed and her husband, actor Ahmed Fahmy are heading for divorce.
Speculations arise after El Zahed unfollowed her brother-in-law Karim Fahmy and sibling-in-law Dania Elbanawy on Instagram.
On June 16, the actress caused quite a stir after unfollowing Karim Fahmy on the platform, a clear sign that a family problem has occurred because of Dania.
She also unfollowed and blocked Dania from Instagram, confirmation of the existence of a conflict between them.
The pair has yet to address the divorce speculation, though Sada El Balad reported that all rumors are completely baseless as the duo is preparing to release their latest film, "Mr. EX".
El Zahed and Fahmy tied the knot in a magical wedding at the Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza, on September 11, 2019.
Many of the stars' friends attended the wedding including Karim Fahmy, Ahmed Ezz, Ahmed Helmy, Amr Youssef and his wife Kinda Alloush, Karim Abdel Aziz, Mostafa Shaban, Ahmed Malek, Ahmed Dawood and Ola Roshdy, Salwa Othman, Chico, Akram Hosny, Youssef el Sherif and his wife Engy Alaa. Football stars Ahmed Hassan and Sayed Moawad also attended the wedding.
The newlyweds tied the knot one year after they announced their engagement. They were engaged in 2018 after a small love story, in Hannah’s home, amid the attendee of their families and close friends, on August 16.
The couple's relationship witnessed great developments before their engagement, where they were frequently publicly spotted together.
Fahmy took to Instagram after the engagement ceremony and posted a photo of the newly engaged couple declaring, “She is my Queen”.
The couple went viral across social media and became on the most searched on Google top-trending searches in Egypt following their engagement.
Their age difference caused panic among several of her fans, who advised her to marry someone younger, and someone who was not married before, as Fahmy is 13 years her senior.
This is Fahmy’s third time getting married. He was previously married to Shahd Ramzi and Menna Hussein Fahmy.
