Egyptian actor Hani Salama is making his streaming debut with the TV series "El Zanb" (Guilt).
The project also reunites Salama with his longtime collaborator Tunisian actress Dorra Zarrouk for the fourth time.
They previously collaborated on the 2007 film "Alawela Fil Gharam" (2007), the 2016 TV series "Naseeby We Esmetak", and the 2021 TV series "Bayn El Samaa Wa El Ard".
The cast also includes Maged El Masry, Passant Shawky, Reem Samy, and more.
"El Zanb" consists of 10 episodes and is set to premiere during the winter season.
Salama, born on July 4, 1977, studied in Kuwait during his father’s employment as a media consultant and then moved to Cairo after joining the Modern Institute of Computer Science.
He entered into the world of fame and success by chance when he auditioned for “Egypt International Films”, a company owned by prominent director Youssef Chahine after it sought new and fresh faces and talents.
Salama underwent several camera tests and was nominated for the 1998 film “Ark el Balah” but did not land the role.
In the first interview, the prominent director asked if he liked to act to which Salama replied that he loved singing a lot more. Chahine asked to sing any song he wanted.
Salama sang “Ana Lak Ala Toul” by Abdel Halim Hafez, once in front of Engy, his female co-star in the 1997 film “Al Masir”, and once in front of Khaled Youssef, each got a different impression each time, which impressed Chahine with his performance and spontaneously.
He worked with during his career with several directors, including Youssef Chahine, followed by Tariq Al-Arian, Khaled Youssef, Saad Hendawy, and others, which weighed his artistic talent.
