Handball National Teams Visit Great Pyramids

The Pyramids region received a number of handball teams participating in the 27th edition of the 2021 World Handball Championship, which Egypt is currently hosting from January 13 to 31.

Members of the Iceland, Algeria and Uruguay handball teams were keen to visit the Giza pyramids area and see the Great Sphinx, where they took many memorial photos, while adhering to the precautionary measures and health safety controls prescribed by the International Handball Federation for the members of the participating teams and those of the visit Archaeological sites and museums in Egypt.

It should be noted that the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities is keen to benefit from Egypt's hosting of this tournament to promote the destinations of Egyptian tourism; it has organized many visits to tourist and archaeological sites.

Members of France, Switzerland, Japan, Germany and the Congo have visited the pyramids area, and they have posted their photos on their social media sites, which is the best advertisement for the promotion and activation of tourism for Egyptian destinations. They assured everyone that Egypt is a safe country for travel, which increases the confidence of incoming tourists to it.
