Hanan Motawie's "Hayat Aw Maut" to Screen in Ramadan 2026

Egyptian actress Hanan Motawie's TV series "Hayat Aw Maut" is set to screen during the Ramadan 2026 drama marathon, more than a year after its original premiere date.

The drama was initially set to screen last Ramadan but had been postponed indefinitely.

"Hayat Aw Maut" also stars Salwa Osman, Ezzat Zain, Ahmed El Rafaey, Rana Raeis, Mohamed Ali Rezk, Hassan El Kholaky, and more.

It is scripted by Hatim Hafez, directed by Ahmed Hassan, and produced by Aroma Studios.

The series witnesses Motawie's comeback to the drama marathon after two years of absence. 

She made her last participation in the marathon with the 2023 TV series “Sero Bataa” and “Woud Sakhia”.

Hanan Motawie

Motawie, born on February 23, 1979, is the daughter of acclaimed actress Soheir Al Morshedy and the late actor Karam Motawie.

She graduated from Cairo University and began her career in the 2001 TV series "Hadeeth El Sabah we el Masaa."

Motawie is known for roles in films such as "Yom W Leila", "Has", "Al Ghaba" (The Forest), "Heliopolis", and "Qas we Lazq", a performance that earned her won Best Supporting Actress award.

Her television credits also include "El Qahera: Kabul", "Ella Ana" season 1, "El-Rehla", "Ded Maghool", "Halawt Al-Dunia", "Taqat Nour", "Hadha almasa", "Wanus" "Sara", "Awlad El Shawarea", "Aghla men Hyati", "Azmet Sokkar", "Wekalet Ateyya".
