Hamaki, Marshmello, More Added to KSA’s Gamers8 Festival Lineup

Egyptian superstar, Mohamed Hamaki has been added to the lineup of the Gamers8 esports festival, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Other artists set to perform include Nancy Ajram, Balqees Fathi, Marshmello, Black Eyed Peas, DJ Snake, and Alan Walker.

The musicians are set to perform at the "NXT LVL" venue, which was specially designed to host these concerts every Thursday.

The schedule is as follows:

July 21: Mohamed Hamaki, Balqees, and Axwell.

July 28: Lil Pump.

August 4: R3HAB.

August 11: Nancy Ajram and Marshmello.

August 18: Russ, Alan Walker, and Disco Misr.

August 25: Black Eyed Peas and DJ Snake.

The festival will kick off at Boulevard Riyadh City on July 14 as part of celebrations kicking off the eight-week event.

Amr Diab and J Balvin are some of the musicians scheduled to perform at the opening ceremony of the festival.

The evening will also feature performances by DJs Sebastian Ingrosso from Swedish House Mafia, Salvatore Ganacci, and El Fuego.

Gamers8 is held under the theme “Your Portal to the Next World” and is described as “the biggest esports and gaming event worldwide”, with tournaments being played alongside various entertainment and cultural offerings.

The Saudi Esports Federation will feature more than 1,000 activities, from concerts to comedy and magic shows.

On the sporting front, Gamers8 invites some of the world’s best players and teams to compete across popular titles, such as “Rocket League”, “Dota 2”, “Fortnite”, “Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege”, and “PUBG Mobile”.

A total of $15 million will be awarded in prize money, one of the biggest in an esports competition. Performances will run from Thursday, July 14 to Thursday, September 1.

Furia from Brazil and FaZe Clan from the US are among the Elite esports teams taking part in the event. They will be battling it out against a number of Saudi teams, including Team Falcons.

The tournaments will be broadcast live on the festival’s social media channels in more than eight languages, including Arabic and English.

The goal of Gamers8 is to bring the virtual world of esports and gaming out into the physical realm of Riyadh while merging a plethora of other fun and futuristic events and attractions.
